On July 24, 2008, a delegation from Massachusetts traveled to Honduras to work with the Rotary Club and leaders in Flores on improving the existing water, wastewater and public health system.

Goals
Ø To work with the residents of Flores, especially the Junta De Aqua De Flores, to develop a sustainable potable water system as well as sewer and sanitation programs.
o Any water system without an adequate sewer system is at risk of being contaminated.
o Strengthening the public health system will enable the residents to protect themselves and the water system from common diseases and infections.
o Strengthening the public health system will also enable the residents to better determine when the water or sewer system has been compromised.
o Providing public health materials for the households and schools will provide a connection between the Pilgrim UCC Church School and the residents of Flores
